Creating Inspiring Spaces… I knew many rooms in my home were due for a refresh but whenever I considered renovation options nothing seemed quite right. Fortunately I was introduced to Deb Baker @fivefieldsdecor a DIY guru and Annie Sloan stockist. I explained to Deb that I wanted to keep my spaces traditional and in keeping with my 1927 house but that I also wanted up to date & inspiring spaces. It all started with my dining room. I am so happy I have refreshed things that I love instead of buying everything new. Almost finished my master bedroom and bathroom. Woot! I am now a #diyer
The white chairs added to the dining room, little side table and mirror are from www.chintz.com (Kathleen)
Dining room before and after above. Such a transformation – so bright and fresh! The fireplace below was given two coats of Annie Sloan Original White and to maintain a marble appearance a top coat was added called Pearlescent.
It is hard to believe this is the same hutch that was in my dining room. I thought it was so ugly and out of place that I was planning to get rid of it. I painted it Annie Sloan Oxford Navy with a clear wax and put it in my Beautycounter office and it has become one of my favourite pieces of furniture in the house.
