Gingham Style

I was at a dinner party the other night and was surprised at how many of us were wearing white. We have had such great weather here in Victoria that I think everyone is getting excited for summer. I love wearing gingham with white as it makes me feel preppy, young and fresh. We are also seeing lots of gingham on the runway for 2015 so it’s not only an easy, comfortable look, but super stylish.

doneThis complete outfit was so inexpensive, I almost don’t want to give the prices. I think we often have the perception that the more you spend the better you will look. However, this is not always the case. For me, fit is the most important thing. I don’t shop by size, or brand name but how I look in it. Quality is also important to me especially for pieces that I keep like coats and dresses. But, if I am buying something for a season or to meet a trend I don’t have the same belief – I try to shop the look for less.

Gingham shirt $16.99 and white sweater $9.99 Target (which is now closing in Canada) Guess Jeans $69.00, Payless shoes $29.99, Kate Spade iPhone case $49.00, Polaride sunglasses $95.00, Butter London lipgloss – lippy tickety boo $20.00.
