Green is everywhere, from royalty to super models to the latest trends in workout gear. We are drawn to it as green is the color of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. Green makes us feel safe and we associated it with money.
Green always makes me feel like Spring has arrived. I enjoy wearing accents of green because they really stand out and look fresh. Some of my own favourite greens…
We saw some beautiful greens on the runway at Mercedes Benz Fashion week NYC 2015 and here are a few that stood out for me.
Lela Rose – top left – Lela Rose is widely recognized for her unique aesthetic of juxtaposing refined elegance with modern whimsy, through brilliant color, beautiful fabrication and handcrafted details. With her eponymous collection, Rose has established a fresh point of view in American fashion and continues to redefine a sophisticated, yet modern lifestyle.
All her dresses in the spring 2015 line are amazing – take a look.

This women really doesn’t need an introduction.
Diane Von Furstenberg – top middle – (DVF) first entered the fashion world in 1972 with a suitcase full of jersey dresses. Two years later, she created the wrap dress, which came to symbolize power and independence for an entire generation of women. By 1976, she had sold over a million of the dresses and was featured on the cover of Newsweek. In 1997, after a hiatus from fashion, Diane re-launched the iconic dress that started it all, reestablishing her company as the global luxury lifestyle brand that it is today. DVF has expanded to a full collection of ready-to-wear and accessories including shoes, handbags, small leather goods, scarves, and fine jewelry.
Who doesn’t love her ready to wear Spring 2015.

kate spade & company – middle left – debuted on February 26, 2014, but the initial sparks formed far earlier in the minds of two imaginative and driven women. Liz Claiborne (in 1976) and Kate Spade (in 1993), each frustrated they couldn’t find what they believed women were looking for in the marketplace, took matters into their hands and founded their own successful companies.
Kate spade new york inspires women to live colorfully, delivering on our promise to help her lead a more interesting life. Our once handbag company has expanded its offering into clothing, jewelry, watches, shoes, stationery, eyewear, fragrance, tabletop, and gifts.
Love the bright vibrant greens and garden party feel of this Spring 2015 collection.

Michael Kors – middle bottom – Behind this burgeoning empire stands a singular designer with an innate sense of glamour and an unfailing eye for timeless chic. Michael Kors has won numerous accolades within the fashion industry, been honored for his philanthropy, and earned the respect and affection of millions. Wholly dedicated to a vision of style that is as sophisticated as it is indulgent, as iconic as it is modern, he has created an enduring luxury lifestyle empire with a global reach.

Alexander Wang– middle right – The king of downtown cool, Alexander Wang dropped out of Parsons in New York his sophomore year to launch a line of unisex cashmere sweaters. By 2007, he had introduced his first full women’s collection, the beginning of an empire which has now expanded to include menswear, accessories, the T by Alexander Wang basics line, and even home objects like coasters and notebooks. His shoe and handbags have been known to whip up a frenzy—the stud-bottomed Rocco bag, in particular—and in turn earned him back-to-back CFDA Awards for accessory design in 2009 and 2010. While he’s known for his signature “model off-duty” style, Wang attracts plenty of non-model fans: Gwyneth Paltrow, Rihanna, Zoe Kravitz, and Charlize Theron among them.

Marchesa – bottom left – With nineteenth-century eccentric aristocrat Marchesa Casiti as their muse, designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig brought to life the icon’s grandiose vision of being a living work of art. In 2004, Marchesa was officially established, and quickly exploded as a favorite among celebrities and critics alike. Red-carpet stunners and paparazzi-friendly cocktail attire are Marchesa’s stock in trade, with intricate craftsmanship and whimsical flourishes quickly becoming house signatures. Spurred by its immediate success, the company already has a more casual and less expensive line, Notte by Marchesa, as well as a handbag and wedding dress line.

Off duty model in emerald green fur coat during New York Fashion Week Fall 2015. Could a mere mortal pull off green fur? I would love to try to rock the fur trend wearing that coat. No designer named just her own vintage coat…love.
