Event Style – Friends make events, and I am so lucky to have the BEST friends!

One of my favorite events is the Snowball, hosted by a dear friend, Alexa Lindroos. It is held at the historic and beautiful, Victoria Golf Club. www.victoriagolf.com

Alexa owns a consignment store in Oak Bay, A La Mode, where you can find all kinds of stylish treasures. www.facebook.com/alamode2009

Snowball 2012 – I love yellow and red, especially at Christmas. How can you not be inspired by Michelle William’s Vera Wang, saffron dress, 2006 Oscars. One of the top 10 dresses ever!

My dress was BCBG Premium outlet, Seattle $120 US.

Snowball 2013 –  You can’t go wrong with black for a formal event and this year I think that I was channeling Carrie Underwood, 2005, Emmy Awards. Love the low cut and wide black band.

My dress was BCBG store, Palm Springs, California $375 US

Snowball 2014 – this year I wanted to go with something bright and cheerful so I decided on Kelly Green. I got my inspiration from the stunning Sofia Vergara and her bandage-style green dress at the 2013 CFDA awards in New York. My hair was a little more earthy then how I usual wear it with a side braid going into a relaxed bun. I paired my dress with a purple clutch purse and masquerade mask. Loved the combo.

My dress was BCBG outlet LA, California $230 US

Book Launch 2014 – Leslie Shewring acreativemint.typepad.com for the book “Decorate with Flowers” coauthor Holly Becker decor8blog.com. The launch was beautifully set at the alluring decor and design store, The Cross thecrossdesign.com in trendy Yaletown, Vancouver, BC.

So great to share in the success of such a beautiful, creative and talented friend, Leslie Shewring. It was fun to watch her hard work come out in a beautiful book. All us “fans” made the trip from Victoria to Vancouver.

I loved my sheath dress as I wanted something flowerish and comfortable. It was from Scoop, on Granville Street in Vancouver, $42. This pale pink top with the little gold studs that Lisa has on was also from the Scoop, so feminine with a little edge, $38.
