I often hear the words, “there is no place to shop in Victoria.” I may have even said that before myself. Now I am saying, look again, as I had the most amazing morning on Oak Bay Avenue, trying on and buying fantastic clothes. The boutique is called Tulipe Noire Clothing (http://www.tulipenoire.com) and the owner is the beautiful Kari McLay.
Kari offers some very chic lines at Tulipe Noire Clothing that I didn’t know were even available in Victoria – Michael Kors, Eileen Fisher, Paige Denim, Velvet by Graham & Spencer, Michael Stars, Comrags, Eliza Faulkner, Lindo – Loco, and High Road Clothing to name a few. She carries gorgeous, quality Italian leather purses from Opelle Handbags and a line of sunglasses that I love, SuperSunglasses, also out of Italy. She carries an extensive selection of Echo and Love Quotes scarves, as well as, pieces from my favorite lingerie line, Hanky Panky.
Kari knows what makes a boutique work. She has new items daily at her store that are current and up to date with what is trending in fashion. Her eye for style is obvious in the clothing and accessory lines she chooses for her boutique. With a personal style that is modern day retro, Kari always looks glamorous but not overdone. It is so refreshing that she is not afraid of colour and she knows how to pair it with neutrals to create beautiful looks. Tulipe Noire Clothing has something for every women, offering a wide range of sizes and styles. If you want to see more of the fabulous clothing Kari has in her boutique but don’t have time to go in, check out Tulipe Noire Clothing on Facebook, as she is always updating her posts with new, fashionable looks.
My friend, Julie Rust (http://newportrealty.com/agent/julie-rust/) and I were lucky enough to be able to model some of her beautiful clothing and accessories with her.
More about the Boutique from Tulipe Noire Clothing (http://www.tulipenoire.com)
Tulipe Noire opened its doors in the Spring of 2005. From the very beginning, we have provided quality clothing and personalized service to thousands of women. We are known for being friendly, fun, open and caring, and for bringing our customers some of the best and trendiest styles while keeping things fresh and interesting.
In the very beginning, Tulipe Noire was widely known as a yoga, fitness and lifestyle apparel boutique. As in life, things change… and so did we. We recognized that fashion trends were changing and we needed to fulfill our “passion for fashion” in a different way. We wanted to help our customers shift from “yoga wear” to sophisticated fabulous street wear, without compromising comfort or care. Clothing that can easily make the transition from the office to an evening out; from the school yard to a corporate meeting, and clothing that suits an active and well balanced life.
…premium denim, novelty tees, cashmere sweaters, linen scarves, beautiful skirts and dresses…casual elegance that works all year round, is easy to care for and easy to pack for travel.
Today at Tulipe Noire, we pride ourselves on bringing women of all ages the best in today’s casual designer fashions. We enjoy getting to know our customers and helping them choose clothing that makes them feel and look great … all year round and for all occasion.
